The latest iteration of the Young Innovator Program places all of our workshop groups under the one problem solving banner. With the ‘Think-Tank’ for this program having been held in 2016, this represents an exciting evolution of this program and a fantastic way to head into our school ‘STEAM Train’ event.
The Problems About Which we will Take Action
We have identified, through work with a couple of Young ICT Explorer Teams and also with our Student Leadership Challenge work, that there are issues with waste at our school and that there also exists a need to educate our community about the need to look after our gardens.
This provides an excellent problem-solving platform for our young innovators – with the aim being to:
- understand the problem
- brainstorm ways to solve the problem
- create iterations of our solution to help solve the problem
