Last week the Year 4 and 5 classes hosted a visit by a team of teachers from another school investigating successful BYO models. When they visiting the classrooms in Year 4 and 5- there was a range of activities occurring:
Guided reading in Year 5. The children were reading some information about the Bermuda Triangle and creating a mind map depicting what they had read.
Geography in Year 5. The children were interacting with an iBook created for Geography that has interactive materials in it. This allows the students to connect with the content and caters for different styles of learning and levels of reading ability.
Children in Year 4 working on a Reading Activity. They were working within a digital book created by their teacher as a comprehension activity. This was related to their Science and was downloaded from Showbie.

The Year 4 students had to insert a movie into their digital book that depicted a seed pod growing.
In a Year 4 classroom, the children explored online activities whilst others worked on a teacher created iBook on Strive words.
