The Year 4 classes are studying Biological Science concepts this term. They are looking at life cycles and the interdependence between plants and animals.
The classes are only at the start of the unit but this unit is one which does lend itself to technology use to deepen understanding and enhance learning.
Below is a movie created using stop motion animation to show the growth of a seed. The images were created individually using Explain Everything and the final product put together in iMovie.
The children have also made their own grass heads and are excited about watching their progress. They have decided to use a range of apps to record the growth, including ones that allow for a stop motion animation type creation.
Green screening is something that the children are going to use as part of their creation process.
