Our student TechExperts are rapidly getting to the point where they are ready to run our lunchtime clubs in our MakerSpace.
We have been working hard and are excited to see it all coming together!
We have a Makey-Makey which could be described as the invention kit of the 21st Century. Year 5 students have been experimenting with this piece of equipment and I am looking forward to seeing the sorts of things that can be created.
Our MakerSpace is not just tech oriented activities! Last week Mrs Cartwright started her crochet club with a group of teachers learning the skills so they can help students. We had Sasha, a student who has proven adept at the craft, helping out with this tutorial.

We have now added a green screen element to these little sets. We are still yet to smooth out the creases and excess material in these boxes.
Our OzoBots are gaining a lot of attention – they get coded through the use of colour and are fantastic for introducing younger students to the concepts associated with coding.
These students are setting up a maze for the Edison robots – after they have been programmed to avoid obstacles.
