Girls and STEM

At our recent Think-Tank, we had Anna Gerber speak about the importance of working in productive and real ways with STEM with our young people.  She made special mention of how important this is for girls. It was quite inspiring to hear her speak about the projects she has worked on and the fields of science and art in which she has interests.

So, next term, as one activity in our Kids’ Innovation Program at Oakleigh SS, we are hoping to form a club for just girls in Yrs 4-6 and to get them making, dreaming, designing, coding and prototyping.
