With Semester Two approaching – our teachers will be implementing and assessing Iteration No. 2 of the Digital Solution units. Teachers have been given a group of vocabulary words that is relevant to a band of learning in Digital Technologies to display and use in their classrooms with these words being key to building an understanding of computational thinking.
One possible way of getting the semester off to a terrific start is to focus on these words as STRIVE words. Students in 4SD have done just this and also created a movie which incorporated the use of iMovie, some special effects learnt in a recent movie-making incursion and the use of screen recording within IOS 11. Pyonkee, the app, was also used to demonstrate visual programming, the use of user input and branching.
