Digital Leadership

The Year 6 students are involved in their aspiring leadership program and will be engaging with 6 different workshops designed to support the development of their leadership skills.  The topic of Digital Leadership is one that might inspire our students to become change-makers:

 

Inspiring Digital Leadership:

Call Me Hannah – Hannah launched this blog at age 9 to share her growing knowledge and concern for the environment.  She had begun to make the connection between animals and the effects of environmental destruction on their habitats and lives.

Lady Bug Foundation – age 5 Hannah Taylor saw a homeless man digging for rubbish and decided she would, one day, do more.  At age 8 she founded the ‘LadyBug Foundation’ – a foundation run by volunteers who help those in need.  She is now 20 and has spoken to more than 175 schools and many organisations and event.     Through her efforts, well over 3 million dollars have been raised and indirectly assist projects across Canada to provide shelter, food and safety for homeless people.  She is also the creator of The LadyBug Foundation Education Program which is a resource for schools to empower young people to make change in their world.  She has also published her own book:

Jeremiah Anthony

Jeremiah is a high school student who created a twitter account that tweets compliments to friends and classmates.
