Our Journey

Further details:

As an Education QLD school, we became an ‘Early Launch School’ of the Digital Technologies Curriculum in late 2015.  Much of the work referred to in the page below is contained within an iTunesU course.

We started by exploring the curriculum and creating representations of it to enhance our understanding.

We then thought carefully about what we already did.   Much of this was because of our success with implementing ICT as a General Capability within the Australian Curriculum.

We started thinking about coding and robotics across the curriculum and ways it could be used to enhance children’s learning experiences and understanding within other areas.

We then worked with volunteer teachers to explore aspects of the new curriculum.

Much of this work is shared through the main blog posts of this site.

We have also created a document which details alignment between  the Digital Technologies Curriculum and other areas of the  curriculum.  This was created with the assistance of Mount Coot-tha Cluster support.  Please visit the Curriculum Alignment page of this web to see this.
