Digital Solutions – Term 4

Our STEAM Showcase completed, we now look at the final term of the year for 2018 and the next iteration of our Digital Solution units. Our STEAM units incorporated some aspects of Digital Technologies if its inclusion supported the inquiry at the heart of the unit.  Examples of specific units include the Yr 2 Disaster Response Vehicles – and the Yr 4 Sustainability Arcade, both including Computational Thinking and Systems Thinking concepts.  Our Digital Solution units however are the primary opportunity for teaching and assessing the Digital Technologies curriculum.

As we have progressed our learnings related to Digital Technologies, so has the scope of our understanding of tools that can enhance work done in this curriculum. Our list of tools matched to each year level has expanded to include online tools, physical robotic tools, spreadsheeting tools for data analysis and representation and coding tools.
